BeAquaAgain designs and implements modular, decentralized systems for natural water reuse and regeneration. By imitating natural structures and processes from aquatic ecosystems, our systems demonstrate a closed-loop, waste-free approach to on-site sewage and contaminated water treatment. Furthermore, our systems leverage microbial food webs, natural materials such as biochar and zeolites, and phosphorus-accumulating bacteria to enable regenerating healthy water in any climatic conditions, and for any purpose—including food production.

Altogether, these features enable our systems to provide transformative improvements in water-food security and environmental resilience.
